Interventional and Onco-radiology

Our state-of-the-art oncology Cath Lab uses image guidance to target and destroy cancer through minimally invasive techniques.
Interventional and Onco-radiology
The Interventional Oncology department at Arka conducts procedures that target and destroy cancer using image guidance for planning and execution. Such procedures are carried out in our oncology Cath Lab or under CT/USG guidance. Apart from taking biopsies from deep seated tumours in the body, some of the procedures are lifesaving. For instance, in an actively bleeding cancer patient, we are able to stop the bleeding by embolization of the blood vessel through minimally invasive vascular access. Certain procedures like TACE/RFA are potentially curative therapies in some cancers.

Our holistic care includes

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
Positron emission tomography (PET)
Computed tomography (CT)
Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) combined with Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization (TACE)
Minimally or non-invasive therapies
